5 Thanksgiving Promotions That Customers will Gobble Up

Thanksgiving is for catching up with friends and family, sitting down to a memorable meal and taking in a football game or two. It’s also a great opportunity to inspire your customers to take a break and visit your restaurant. Make the deal sweeter than Grandma’s Famous Pecan Pie by trying out some of these promotion ideas:

Thanksgiving-themed menu items

In the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, feature a menu item that will get customers excited about the main event. For example,  Au Bon Pain featured their Turkey, Kale and Wild Rice soup. By sending a dollar or two off of these items, you’ll inspire customers to try something new and they’ll appreciate you getting them into a festive mood.

Helping hand on sides or desserts

Hosting Thanksgiving is no small task. Maybe your restaurant has a killer kale salad or amazing rolls that could help out your customers that are also hardworking hosts and hostesses. Set up a promotion that inspires customers to turn to your restaurant for sides, like a free menu item with purchase. You’ll make their lives easier and maybe earn new customers who were blown away by your mac and cheese.

A healthy alternative

Thanksgiving is famous (infamous?) for rich, decadent food. Lighten things up for your customers by sending a promotion for healthier fare like salad, juice or a veggie-based bowl. Customers will be delighted to switch up their routine and get a reprieve from their seventh helping of stuffing that week.

Save for more shopping!

What would Thanksgiving be without Black Friday? Do your customers a solid and save them a bit of money that they can use toward buying presents. By offering up free menu items or a few dollars off their meal, they’ll have more to spend on friends and family.

Black Friday fuel

That 6:00 AM wake up to be the first in line for heavy discounts isn’t for the faint of heart. It also requires some serious fueling. Offer up a free coffee or tea to help Black Friday shoppers gain the energy they need to rack up the deals.
